Hello and welcome to The Greasy Weasel. It's Monday June 25th and I'm the only person here. This is the place where I'll be blogging about the latest happenings on The View. Who will replace Rosie? Will Barbara continue to reign supreme? And most importantly, when will Elisabeth join us in the 21st Century?
Here in Australia The View is broadcast an amazing 34 times a week (5 new episodes broadcast by satellite from the US and 29 repeats) on Foxtel's W Channel.
I'll be linking to all of the latest clips online, interviews and any other news related to the show and it's hosts (past and present) whilst offering my own insights on the machinations in front of and behind the camera. Stay tuned Viewers (a term which stangely has yet to be taken on as the moniker for die-hard fans of the View). You're about to enter the Greasy Weasel Zone (btw Bill O'Reilly? ewww)

Since you're watching repeats, you're in a position to see Star Jones in all her glory. What do you think of her?
She got a lot of bad press in the United States and I'm interested to know how she's perceived in other countries.

Our repeats are the same five current episodes over and over and over again lol. It's cool if you happen to miss an episode.
The only one who gets much press here is Rosie (like with the Trump feud). Other than that the news we get is the US entertainment shows.
At least Star got to show she's a dignified and gracious person during the Larry King interview. Other than that she didn't get much flattering coverage at all.
Just wanted to add, it's fantastic to get feedback comments. Please keep them coming :D
Well, FYI, before the Rosie hoopla there was thing whole thing with Star. She was accused of requesting freebies from large corporations for her marriage to Al Reynolds. What's always amused me about this is that The View ALLOWED her to do it then used it to punish her.
Another biggie was her 200 lb weight loss. At first she was vilified because she was morbidly obese, then folks seemed jealous and STILL took snipes at her after she loss the weight.
I agree, she did leave with dignity.
