The latest on The View...

According to The New York Post Barbara Walters has approached Whoopi Goldberg about occasionally performing some of her stage characters in special segments for The View. Does Barbara really think this is what the public wants? I can't believe how out of touch she is on so many things.

And in Sherri Shepherd news, the buxom vixen is refusing to give in. Whilst on the set of a new game show she told Access Hollywood, "We're still in talks so hopefully you'll see me there in that chair in September."

She then joked she was on the show playing for a particular cause: "As a matter of fact, 'The View' is my charity that I'm playing for. I'm playing for the Barbara Walters Give Me a Job Foundation Fund." So...funny. Desperation is such a flattering feature.

She continued, "My theory and my philosophy is I'm going to be as aggressive as I can, and try to win this and get my charity some money." And if she doesn't win? "If not, you will see me on The View. [If] I'm not working, I'm homeless." Yeah, something tells me Sherri isn't really hard up for money. Maybe by Hollywood standards?
